Front Porch Sittin'!

Just sittin' on the front porch steps with Mommy and Heidi is my favorite part! I love sitting with my Mommy, and as you can see, little Heidi loves her apples!!

Eating Apples!

Apples are SO tasty! I picked an apple right off the tree, and ate the WHOLE thing. I ate all of it except the little stem. I even ate the little ruffles on the bottom. MMMMMM!! SO YUMMY! I have been eating apples ever since that day. It is so fun to eat apples! I think my favorites are the Honey Crisp!

Picking Apples!

Picking apples was SO fun. There were so many fresh, cool apples on the trees and I could pick out all the ones I wanted!! They had Cameos, Fujis, Golden Delicious, Rome, and others. Picking apples was my favorite part of the trip!

Off To The Apple Orchard!

In Hendersonville, we stopped at an apple orchard. It was the first time picking apples for ALL of us. Even Mommy and Daddy had never picked apples. We got to ride in a wagon on the way to the apple trees. We are on our way to a load of fun!

TIMBER!!

This was my first opportunity to get some photogenic shots with pumpkins. Unfortunately as Mom and Dad were setting up the shot, I tumbled over into the wood chips. As you can see on my face, the overwhelming surprise and terror on my face was not enough to stop Mommy from snapping the shot of my demise. After laughing at me, they picked me up, dusted me off, and needless to say, my first experience with pumpkin photography didn't go all that well. It's tough being the second child!

Roadside Stand

We stopped at this Roadside stand in Bat Cave on the way to Hendersonville. There were pumpkins and apples and cabbage and all kinds of fruit and vegetables. I liked the pumpkins. I thought they were big apples!

Counting Sheep!

My bed was on the floor between Mommy and Daddy's bed. I think I counted about 3 sheep before I fell asleep.

Nighttime at the Hotel

We stayed in a Death Trap hotel outside of Marion, NC. But it wasn't all that bad. Except the continental breakfast was non-existent. The reviews online talked about blood running down the walls of room 120 (good thing we were in room 118) and how everything about the hotel was scary. We didn't spend too much time in the room, because by the time we got back to the hotel in the evening, we were worn out, so we all went to bed. This picture is of me and Brett getting into our pajamas and going to bed. As you can see, Brett was too awake and happy and talkative, so I had to quiet him down. But I love my brother!

The Mine Entrance

They let you walk right up to the mine entrance so we all walked right up to it and yelled HELLOOOOO into the mine and learned how to hear our echo. It was really nice and cool at the mine entrance. Mommy and Daddy talked about building a house in the mine.
PS. Right where Heidi and Daddy are sitting in that picture, that sign reads "DO NOT SIT HERE TO POSE FOR PHOTOS. We will just use this photo for leverage when Mom and Dad tell us not to do things.

Emerald Village Gem Mining!

On Saturday afternoon, we drove up to the top of the mountains in a little village called Little Switzerland. They had this old actual mine called Emerald Village Mine where they let you come in and try to mine for jewels. This was our first time Gem Mining, so we were VERY excited. It was nice and cool at the mine, so we got a bucket of dirt and looked for jewels. To our surprise, we found some Emeralds and Garnets and Gold and all kinds of awesome gems. It was SOOO FUN!!

Mountain Man!

I am a true Mountain Man! You can see my enthusiasm as I scaled Mount Tom's Creek and made it to the pinnacle with Heidi and Dad and Mom! If you look on Heidi's shirt, you can see her Confederate Sticker. She thought she was signing up for a Credit Card earlier at the Mountain Glory Festival to get a free sticker, but she accidentally signed up to be a member of the Confederate Daughter's Organization of North Carolina. Now we have to attend a monthly meeting to discuss what we are going to do to try to prevent the Northern Aggression down here in the South. Oh boy, the trouble you can get into trying to apply for credit cards. Oh well, at least she got the free sticker!

A New Star is Born!

At Kidsenses, they had this cool television studio where you could be a newscaster and be on TV. Of course, being the star that I am, I had to get my air time on TV. (You can actually see me on TV in the 2nd picture!) I told about the weather, talked about Apples, and then Mommy found out about the little gift I made for her....in my diaper. Hey, I'm sure Connie Chung probably soiled her trousers on air before. She probably pees herself everytime she thinks about why she married Maury Povich!

The Cafe!

Kidsenses had this neat Cafe where you could cook and serve your own foods. I wasn't too sure about it. I kind of had the idea that most of the foods were made out of rubber and plastic, so I wasn't too sold on wasting my time trying to eat it. As you can see, they totally fooled my sister as she tried to drink a glass of milk with fake milk in it. One day I will teach her to be a little smarter. *sigh* Women, you can't live with em', you can't live with em!
(PS. I do love my Mommy though!)

The Slide!

Whoaaaa! Watch me go down the slide! This was the alphabet room. It had a cool farm and a barn and vegetables to pick and a cool slide. I like slides. I go down them backwards and head first. They don't call me a Dare Devil for nuthin'!

Creation Station!

At the KidSenses Museum, they had this fun room called the Creation Station where I got to color and paint and use stamps.....and yes, I decided to use the green stamp on my face. What can I say, I thought it looked cool! I made cool cow stamps and goat stamps! What a fun area!

Grocery Shopping at Kidsenses!

On the way to the mountains on Friday afternoon, we stopped at this awesome Kids Museum in Rutherfordton, NC. It had so many cool things for me and Brett. They had this Little General Dollar store where I got to go grocery shopping for my family. I bought lot of cheese, meats, vegetables, apples, and mustard. I thought that's what we needed most at home!

Going to the Mountains!

This past weekend, Me and Mommy and Daddy and Heidi went to the Mountains. We left Friday afternoon and got back on Sunday afternoon. Our main destination was Marion, North Carolina, but we visited many many places in North Carolina! This picture here is when we all went on a little hike to a waterfall in Marion. This was Tom's Creek Falls in Marion, NC. We went here on Saturday afternoon after the Mountain Glory Festival in downtown Marion. Daddy carried me all the way down the trail and Mommy put Heidi in her little nap sack. It was a nice tall waterfall, but since it hasn't rained much in a while, the trickle wasn't all that big. But a good time was had by all! It was my first waterfall trip and my first trip out of South Carolina!
