Fireworks!

Everybody is shooting fireworks outside and they are loud and so pretty so it's hard for us to go to sleep!! We went outside earlier to look at them but it was a little cold and Heidi might have been a little scared. So we came inside and we keep hearing them. So we keep peeking out the window to see them. I really like them. I say "Wow!" New Year's celebrations are fun, but I really need to try to get some sleep!

Happy New Year!!

We celebrated our New Year at 9pm est. Which is like New Years for England or something. We all toasted and shared a little bubbly grape juice together. (the evidence is in the picture!) Brett really enjoyed the bubbly grape juice!! I loved it too. We all tapped glasses/sippy cups/big girl cups and said "CHEERS." That part was my favorite. I bumped glasses really hard and spilled my juice twice! What a fun evening. We also made resolutions for 2012. Mine was to see Santa more and get more toys. I think Brett's was to get more grape juice and Mommy's was to get more tacos. We all have this New Year Resolution thing down pat!!

Happy New Year!

Dance Recital

I had my first dance recital before Christmas. I was awesome and behaved like a wonderful child. I listened, followed directions, paid attention and was a star pupil! As you can see in my pictures, I did exactly what my dance instructor Meredith told me to do......

Now for the truth....I didn't really pay attention at all....and I msbehaved badly.....but it was my first dance recital so I get a mulligan!!

It's amazing how I could have gotten away with this on the blog after those pictures Daddy took which made me look amazing. Minus the cheese crackers I was eating throughout the recital. I like it when they throw flowers at me. I'm a star!

Floor Bed

Sometimes the bed just isn't cozy enough and that's when you gotta throw everything on the floor and start from scratch. And that's just what I did this night. And I slept like a baby. Probably because I basically am a baby!

Christmas Preparations!

When Christmas was almost here, we had to prepare in many ways! We had to try on some old outfits to see if they fit (they didn't) and we had to prepare to mail off some goodies, so we had to test the size of the boxes. It's a lot to do for Christmas, but it was well worth it! Happy Birthday Baby Jesus!

Pillow Fight!

It seems Ms. Heidi wanted to compete in a pillow fight. Little does she know I am a peaceful lover who does not like to fight. Needless to say, I didn't want to fight, but she threw all the pillows on the floor and pulled me down off the bed and forced me to fight. I got upset and didn't want to fight. Heidi stomped off and left me all alone and sad.

My Sports Card Collection!

Sometimes I like to go through my sports card collection to see if I have any stars that may be worth anything. I am a pretty dedicated collector. Probably the most dedicated in my house. I have some good ones. Maybe one day they will put me through college.

Candy Land!

So Trick-or-Treating is finally here (back on Halloween of course) so I am trying to teach Brett how to do this. It's so easy!!!! All you have to do is walk up to people's doors and they give you candy. It's as easy as taking.....well....giving candy to a baby. But Brett doesn't get it. He just sits in the wagon and keeps texting.....probably sending messages to Sara Ann at daycare. I don't see what he sees in her. She hardly even has any hair. Nonetheless, I had to get all the candy for Brett this year. So Mommy and Daddy better not get mad when I take all his candy and eat it. I did all the work. Happy Candy Day!

Loving Heidi!

Sometimes Heidi gets injured and has to get bandaids. I know it must hurt, but I love her and hug her and make her feel better. And she is all better! Then she jumps on me and takes my things. That's how I know she is better. They she has to give me hugs and make me feel better. It's just a vicious cycle. I wonder where my parents are when all this is happening? I still love them!!

Making Cookies with Grandma Bollo?

When Grandma and Grandpa Bollo were here in October, we made cookies!! She taught me how to make cookies, and then we used those skills to make cookies for Santa. Heck, I think we made cookies, I don't even remember!! Maybe we made a pizza? That's kind of what it looks like anyway?!?!

Apple Sharing!

Me and Daddy like apples, so when we get the opportunity to share them, we do. I like to slobber all over the apples to get them nice and juicy, then I let daddy have a bite. Apples from the mountains and from LaCrescent are so yummy. And, they keep the doctor away. Thank goodness, because I think Heidi has a crush on Dr. Vidrine, the ENT doctor, and I think she is too young to be dating. And I think he is married!

Soccer and Cell Phones.

I wasn't allowed to paint pumpkins because obviously Mommy and Daddy don't like when I eat the mustard and ketchup. They are like "NOOO!! Don't eat the paint!!" And I'm like "you let me eat the paint with my french fries and chicken nuggets." I just don't get them sometimes. So I played soccer with Daddy and answered his phone calls. One day I want to be a professional like Daddy. I don't know what he is proffesional at, but he says he is. And as his child, I am forced to believe him.

Painting Pumpkins!

Since somehow time passed me by so fast, and I forgot to blog around October and November and early December, I need to catch everybody up!! Before Halloween, we painted pumpkins outside! I was like a Picasso out there.....what's that dad? No one can understand what Picasso paints? Oh, well I am definitely not him!! I painted gorgeous intricate pumpkins!!! And then we made Pumpkin Pie out of them....ok....we didn't really. I think they eventually rotted and Daddy threw them across the road. But before that, they were awesome! Awesome! ( I say Awesome now!)

Christmas was cool!

I think Christmas is going to be a pretty cool and awesome venture. It was pretty fun this year. Opening presents that Heidi is going to play with is kind of fun. We all got a huge tent for camping so I think that will be fun! I hope they let me take green bear! I also got to eat some chocolate, which is always cool! I guess I can't wait till next year. Ho Ho Ho!!

We Loved Christmas!

We had a fantastic Christmas!! We got to celebrate the birth of little baby Jesus, and since we were so good this year, Santa came to our house and we got presents!!! We got to go visit Santa a couple times! I liked him so much that we left cookies for Santa, and I wrote him a letter!! Brett got a Woody and Buzz doll from the new Toy Story movie!! I love to play with them since I think everything is mine! I also got lipstick and Barbies from Santa!!!! Christmas is so much fun! I can't wait till next week when we have Christmas again!!!

Ocean View

Sometimes it's nice to just stare at the ocean rolling in and out. The view is so hypnotizing. Watching the people walk by. There's something so serene about it. Wait a minute, I am only like 15 months old. Do I really know what "serene" means. I think not.

She Thinks She is a Cowgirl.

Heidi thinks she is a cowgirl. Little does she know that Cowgirls actually ride horses, not cows. She is a do-do head sometimes. But I love her. Like only a little brother could. Bless her little heart.

The Ocean is Scary!!

In the past, I have loved the ocean, but lately, since I am in a phase where I am scared of some things, the ocean has jumped into my list of things I am scared of. I love the sand, and I love the beach, and I love looking at the waves, but I am just scared of getting in the water. I don't know if it is the sounds of the waves, or the overall frightening largeness of the ocean, but I'm a little scared. So I need a little help when I get near the water. That's what Daddy's for. Brett was a little scared too, but he managed to get his feet wet with the help of Mommy. I think he liked it a little bit actually. Maybe next trip, I will be over my fears and hop on in!

Sandy Bottoms!

We loved getting out and playing in the sand. Our favorite part of going to the beach is to enjoy the freedom of running around and just playing in the sand. The weather was amazing (a little windy) and the sun was shining and we were just loving life!

Breakfast on the Balcony!

One of our beach traditions is sharing breakfast on balcony watching the ocean. We usually enjoy Krispy Kreme doughnuts and apple juice and other various provisions. This year was no different. I ate all of Daddy's doughnuts (and even Mommy's chocolate covered custard filled one's) and enjoyed the sunrise. Brett isn't as much of a morning person, and was feeling a little under the weather, so he just took in the sunrise. What a morning!

The Eggy Things

These are the YokoOno Egg Boxes. I am not really sure what they are called, because all the packaging is in Japanese. They kind of work, but then again, they don't quite work. Hopefully they will taste ok. We don't want to hear "Heidi no like."

Homeschool.

Since I got suspended from school today (because of a fever, albeit slightly over 100) I had to have homeschool with Da-Da so I won't fall too far behind. In real school we learn boring things like colors and letters and all, but at Da-Da school, we learn cool things like sports and soccer and watching ESPN. Da-Da is the best. I think I want to have homeschool with Da-Da every day! Plus we get to go have lunch with Mommy in a little bit. This is going to be awesome!!

Mommy's Return Home

When Mommy came back from Charleston the other week, we had prepared a "Welcome Home Mommy" sign for her, and we made her cupcakes. Before she had barely walked in the door, we snatched up all 4 cupcakes and ate them. We love Mommy....but we REALLY love cupcakes. We stayed up all night too.

Breakfast!

I guess Mommy and Daddy forgot about me this morning, so I had to go and find my own breakfast! I rummaged through the pantry and chose this awesome cereal over some of Daddy's Pop Tarts and Mommy's toast. It's not all that bad, and the whole box is MINE. Well, mine and Isabel's. We share most of the time. Yummy!!!

Broccoli Heads!

We are messy eaters. But today, we are simultaneously messy eaters. We usually throw our broccoli on the floor for the dog to eat, but today, we tried to hide it on our heads. Well, you live and learn. Turns out hiding things on your head isn't a good hiding spot. Oh well!!! Maybe one day we will eat our broccoli!! Until then, we must look for creative places to hide it!
Please Mom and Dad, don't feed us broccoli any more. I mean c'mon, look at the looks on our faces when we are forced to eat it!!

Go Packers!

We were all pulling for the World Champion Packers on Thursday night when they played the Saints. I even wore my Packers jersey! It was so awesome when Aaron Rodgers threw those 3 Touchdown passes in the first quarter. I think Mom and Dad decided to change my brother's name to Aaron Alexander Dempsey Riddle!!! It will be a true test when the Packers play the Bears......or will it?

Back to the Cabin

After a long day of adventures and fun, we made our way back to the cabin (shack) for a cozy evening. We all went to the bath house for showers and then settled down for a relaxing evening. I nestled in with Daddy to watch some Strawberry Shortcake and Brett cuddled with Mommy and fell asleep! Another exciting and fun vacation! We left in the morning and made it back to Milford Park all safe and sound!

Gem Mining in Cherokee

After we left Bryson City on Saturday, we drove over to Cherokee and embarked on a gem mining mission. I have come to really love gem mining, because the minerals are so essential for your diet, and they are tasty as well. They taste and look like chocolate. I found some pretty cool gems and an arrowhead, but Heidi found the best gem of all! (pictured) We think it is a 18 carat diamond in the rough! The guy working there said it was just a piece of gravel. But what does he know? If he knew any better, he wouldn't be working at a gem mining place. So we are going to get it appraised and we are hoping it will bring 12-13 million dollars. I am going to use the money to purchase a vat of fresh milk!!
